With the magnificent Coastal Mountains to the north, the mighty Fraser River to the south, and the Pitt and Stave Rivers forming our western and eastern boundaries, Maple Ridge is a community that offers advantages that proximity to a major urban trade centre can provide, combined with a tranquil setting and small town atmosphere. Situated 45 kilometres (28 miles) east of Vancouver, Maple Ridge is a step from the ordinary into the extraordinary.

The new Golden Ears and Pitt River Bridges, an investment of over $1 billion, will provide vital links between Maple Ridge and Langley/Surrey, Highway 1, the USA and to the tri-cities into Vancouver. These new links will dramatically improve both traffic flows and the movement of goods and services to the rest of Metro Vancouver as well as foster local economic development. Other transportation improvements including a new town centre transit exchange, new Braid Street Bus service and an additional West Coast Express commuter train station will add further improvements.

Maple Ridge will continue to experience strong residential, commercial and industrial growth leading to further job creation and new investment. It is home to a modern day gold rush.
